djaffe: Excited 2 get kids2 bed, grab a giant cup of Starbucks, & settle in for a nite of smooth, chill music and game design. Need some new maps!

djaffe: @sixampfuze u have a good day as well. I'm fine agreeing to disagree on this one :) take it easy

  • 07:40:40 pm on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @sixampfuze then you don't understand my argument. It has nothing to do with you. It has to do w/relationship between retail and pubs.

  • 07:28:08 pm on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: Ok, finally got my used games video blog up...sync is off but what they hey! :) http://bit.ly/SyhOJ

  • 01:17:00 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @ArtGreen Then fuck them. That is the attitude they have towards us in a non digital distribution world.

  • 01:04:49 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @ArtGreen Sure, if they contribute in a meaningful way, yes. Why would we not?

  • 12:42:54 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: Video will be up in a sec- still publishing I guess. Give it 5 min- my bad in rushing the tweet.

  • 12:40:50 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: http://bit.ly/SyhOJ Instead of me clogging up Twitter with my ranting, here's a video blog from me on used games for those who care.

  • 12:09:07 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins I think it's pretty rude to resell a game I worked on with 0% degradation between used and new and not cut me in on the deal.

  • 12:06:05 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @robmv I never said they should restrict you- the consumer. I said stores should cut pubs in on the deal.

  • 12:04:57 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @dmfb yes cause I use twitter 'wrong'. I get that. Must be annoying to follow me @ times. I just get so n2 the conversation. I should blog.

  • 12:04:23 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins I took your tone and attitude as rude, yes. If it was not meant to be, then I apologize. hard 2 tell at times on twitter.

  • 12:00:42 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins No, not that u disagreed. The language you used and the attitude you used.

  • 12:00:07 am on August 29, 2009 |

djaffe: All I was saying is, it would be easier for all if retail would cut us in vs. forcing us to take measures that will end up killing them.

  • 11:59:43 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @HWY_Z And that is fair- that's capitalism. It's our job as game makers to find a way to deal with the current biz landscape. And we will.

  • 11:57:43 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins No I mean YOU should fuck off- not the concept. You simply seem like an asshole.

  • 11:54:52 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: and if they do not, that is FINE but there will be consequences that end up hurting the bottom line of brick and mortar.

  • 11:54:24 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins then u do not see big pic. I am always customer first. Resell all u like, I support it. I am saying stores need to cut in pubs

  • 11:45:08 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins I think ur philosophy&unwillingness 2 Cthe bigger picture implies that all games- mine included- can fuck off. It is what it is.

  • 11:42:16 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins dont buy it- you'd just resell the fucker anyway.

  • 11:40:15 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins Ah well, c'est la vie. If not being able to sell games keeps you from playing, don't let door hit u on way out....

  • 11:35:06 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @lesjenkins if the main reason you game is to own a cd, then you prob should stop gaming, yes?

  • 11:31:48 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @balls187 Our biz competes against 'free' as well. For us, free games ARE used games cause we don't see a dime.

  • 11:27:44 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: But again-all I can say is: look @the music biz. Games will follow suit. 4me, end of discussion. Stuff to do. 5 years it is all Dig Dist.

  • 11:26:39 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @Joelvamp yes games are too much. And a player has EVERY right to get the best deal, including used. I would as well.

  • 11:25:13 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: It's a pointless discussion tho. History is on game dev/pub side. Just look at music biz. We'll laugh it was even an issue in 5 years.

  • 11:24:15 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: Gamer suffers. IF gamestop cut game makers into the deal, Gamestop could stay in biz much longer than they currently will.

  • 11:23:39 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: Used games hurt devs/publishers. Hurt devs/publishers go out of biz or find ways (dig dist; all content only on first sale) to stay in biz.

  • 11:22:31 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: @jasu78 Sorry, I can't hear you, busy listening to the latest CD's I got from Tower Records. Oh wait, no...I'm not.

  • 11:22:07 pm on August 28, 2009 |

djaffe: People like u think this is a legal issue. Of COURSE you can resell your own property. But that is not what is at stake.
